Focus Audio Visual offers audio visual support services to the convention/meetings industry. To meet our clients need for consistency and quality service, we have several San Francisco and bay area locations, and assist in year-round planning on a local and national level. Due to our financial backing, and our continued success we have plans for extensive further development. Event Planning & Coordination

For every convention or conference, regardless of size, FAV assigns a qualified staff coordinator who remains a constant liaison contact, beginning in the planning phase and seeing a conference through to completion. The coordinator responsibilities include:

      - Attending all pre-convention and staff meetings, as required.

      - Preparing budgets

      - Being on-site to coordinate set-ups, tear downs, operator calls, move-in/out, as well as being on property during show hours

      - Making recommendations for optimum audio visual utilization.

      - Being available 24 hours a day.

       - Liaison to exhibitors for any A/V requirements or special needs.

       - Attending site inspections when required.

 

Meeting Room Management

Once Focus Audio Visual (FAV) receives your requirements, our staff "specs" all audio visual equipment necessary for all meeting room sessions.  Screen sizes are matched to room dimensions. In addition, the "corner set" will be implemented  when necessary placing projectors and stands in, or near the corner with the screen at an angle in the front opposite corner. This type of audio visual set allows a maximum, unobstructed viewing angle for all participants. Where chandeliers or columns cause viewing obstruction, sight lines will be changed accordingly. General session set-ups are evaluated individually to match the program, audience size and room dimensions.

All cables will be secured to the floor eliminating any chance of accident. Draped carts and stands will be used to support the projection equipment. If a projection or lighting platform is required, FAV will make the necessary arrangements with the facility.

Spare equipment and lamps will be available for any last minute additions/changes. In addition, equipment not normally stocked by FAV will be obtained for you and your clients convenience.

 

Technical Support Personnel

For conventions with both extensive and specialized a/v requirements, FAV has available qualified and experienced technicians who add further support to the success of a show. All personnel, including FAV technicians and local labor are considered to be an extension of your professional organization. Therefore, they are required and expected to maintain a professional image while on the job. FAV requires strict adherence to dress code, manners and alertness while performing the tasks assigned to them.

 

Communication

To enhance communications and quick response on-site, two-way radios can be provided through FAV. We recommend that the facility representative, the group contact and audio visual personnel be equipped with walkie-talkies. FAV personnel can always be reached 24 hours a day by cell phone as well.
